Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Simple roasted brussels sprouts with a golden, crispy exterior. For a sweet variation, substitute or add carrots and toss with a little brown sugar along with the oil and salt.
Ingredients
- Brussels sprouts
- Olive oil
- Salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Trim the brussels sprouts and halve them (quarter any large ones).
- Toss with salt and olive oil, mixing with your hands so the oil gets inside the sprouts.
- Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer with good space between them (use two pans if needed).
- Roast for about 20 minutes, checking for softness on the inside.
- When tender, increase heat to 425°F and continue roasting until browned, about 5–10 minutes.
