Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

One giant chocolate chip cookie baked in a pizza pan and cut into wedges — crisp edges, soft chewy middle, loaded with chocolate chips and walnuts.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Steps
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- Gradually add the flour, salt, and baking soda, beating until well blended.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Spread the dough in a greased 14-inch round pizza pan.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool the cookie in the pan on a rack, then decorate as desired.
