Cheesesteak Casserole
from Chris's kitchen.

Chris's cheesesteak casserole — shaved steak or chicken with sautéed peppers, onions, mushrooms, and your cheese of choice, baked golden and served with crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • Shaved steak or chicken
  • Olive oil
  • Montreal steak seasoning
  • Peppers, diced
  • Onions, diced
  • Mushrooms
  • Garlic
  • Cheese of your choice — Boursin, cream cheese, or Cooper Sharp
  • Shredded cheese, for topping

Steps

  1. Brown shaved steak or chicken in olive oil with some Montreal steak seasoning, remove from pan, drain if needed.
  2. In same pan sauté diced peppers, onions, mushrooms and garlic or whatever you like.
  3. Add meat back in with some cheese of your choice. I use Boursin, cream cheese or Cooper Sharp. Mix well.
  4. Put in casserole dish, top with shredded cheese, brown top.
  5. Serve with naan, garlic bread, baguette or whatever you prefer.
